About Anatomic Body Piercing

Founded in October 2016 in Gainesville, FL, Anatomic Body Piercing proudly became the first piercing-only boutique in North Central Florida. In October 2024, we expanded with the opening of our second studio in Ocala, FL.

Now, nine years later, we remain the only piercing studios in the region exclusively offering high-quality jewelry from the most trusted manufacturers in the world. Our continued commitment to excellence, safety, and professionalism sets us apart in the body piercing industry.

Jewelry Standards You Can Trust

At Anatomic, we are committed to using only implant-grade, biocompatible materials for every piercing. We exclusively pierce with:

  • Implant-grade titanium (ASTM F-136 and ASTM F-1295)

  • Nickel-free 14k or 18k solid gold

  • Niobium

  • Glass

  • Platinum

We DO NOT carry or use unsafe materials such as:

  • Externally threaded jewelry

  • “Surgical steel” (such as 316L)

  • Plated or coated jewelry

  • Acrylic or plastic jewelry

While many materials may appear suitable, only a select few have been proven safe for fresh piercings. These materials are backed by strict standards set by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) — the same standards used for medical-grade implants.

🔒 Note: “Surgical steel” (e.g., 316L) does not meet ASTM or ISO implant-grade standards. As such, we do not carry or use it for any purpose, whether for fresh or healed piercings.

Sterilization: Clean, Safe, Transparent

We sterilize all equipment, jewelry, and materials in-house using a Statim G4 autoclave, a trusted standard in medical-grade sterilization. With its 6-minute cycle, the Statim G4 allows us to sterilize tools and jewelry in your presence, so you can feel confident that every item used in your procedure is freshly sterilized and safe.

Autoclave Spore Testing: Exceeding Industry Standards

Spore testing is the most reliable method of confirming that sterilization equipment is functioning correctly. While the state of Florida only mandates spore testing once every three months, we go far beyond that:

  • Statim G4 Autoclave – Spore tested weekly

  • Chamber Autoclave – Spore tested monthly
